Sorry to hear about what you're dealing with, Robert. I know firsthand that chronic illness is not fun. Will be praying for you. But I enjoyed this piece. Great writing as always! Might we see a collection of daily duck comics come together at some point? :)

Thanks, JD. That's a great idea about comics! Stay tuned... ;)

I firmly believe the Duck has blessed Substack exceedingly and would love to see him visit once again!

I shall pass along the kind words to him. Thanks for reading, Michaela!

I would be exceedingly keen for another Professor Duck feature. He has the perfect blend of silliness (being a duck and all) and seriousness (being a PhD candidate at Oxford and all) that seems wonderfully fitting for the Ransomed Imagination publication. I personally would also enjoy reading his dissertation on Waterfowl Symbolism… if he ever wanted to share that with the Substack community.

Praise God for ducks, forced slowness, and for giving you joy in the midst of such hardship.

The sagacious Professor Duck, including his duck barometer, is just who I've needed to hear for giving greater purpose to my own flight into whimsy! Thank you R.A.H. Thacker. I'm certainly glad he landed in the Oxford on this side of the pond. Such marvelous news you two met! We must hear more from the professor . . .
